This Data Protection, Privacy and Cookie Policy Statement is meant to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can review and delete your information. If you have any concerns, questions or requests please contact us.

1. Data Compliance: Brahmananda Saraswati Yagya Foundation (BSYF) complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) effective 25 May 2018.

2. Your privacy is essential: Our ability to fulfill your requests to sponsor Maharishi Yagya performances are based on the personal information you provide to us. We maintain strict confidentiality of your personal information; the requests we fulfill for you; and the details of any information that is provided to you in the fulfilling your requests.

3. Your consent: In applying to sponsor Maharishi Yagya performances, you are consenting for BSYF personnel to collect, process and store personal information relevant to fulfilling your donation request. This consent will extend to Brahmananda Saraswati Jyotish Foundation (BSJF), the organization that makes specific Maharishi Yagya performance recommendations as a service that you have requested through them.

The date that you give us consent to store and process your personal information is recorded. At any time, you may ask for us to delete your personal information and we will do so in a timely way (see Point 12 below).

If at any time your requests include personal data relating to any other individual, you must have that person’s consent to provide this information unless they are your minor dependent.

If you are applying to sponsor Special Occasion Maharishi Yagya performances, you are also giving consent for your data to be stored by Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation as a service to Brahmananda Saraswati Yagya Foundation so that your request may be properly fulfilled.

4. What data we collect and how do we use it: We collect information that is specifically relevant to fulfilling your request to sponsor Maharishi Yagya performances. The data is processed by our staff both regionally and internationally. In general, regional administrative offices are only able to access data that concerns clients in their domain or that have been assigned to them.

The ability of Brahmananda Saraswati Yagya Foundation to successfully implement our mission is dependent on maintaining accurate information. We will strive to keep information we hold about donors and others accurate and current.

5. Who do we share data with: Personal information about you and your donation is only shared among BSYF staff and its third-party contractors on a need-to-know basis to fulfill your specific donation request.

We may also share data with Brahmananda Saraswati Jyotish Foundation so that information relevant to your application to sponsor Maharishi Yagya performances can be fulfilled.

Other than this, we can only share information about your account with an individual that you have specifically authorized us to do so, for example a spouse.

If you are applying to sponsor Special Occasion Maharishi Yagya performances, your information will be also shared with Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation; the organization and its staff in USA, Europe and India that fulfills your request for sponsorship.

When you make a donation to BSYF, a unique client ID code is assigned to your account. Specific data relevant to fulfilling your sponsorship of a Maharishi Yagya performance is transmitted to India or Nepal under this client ID code. Follow-up correspondence, such as performance confirmation, is then provided to you through BSYF administrators and representatives.

We have a dedicated Data Protection Officer whose core responsibility is to ensure data is properly protected. You may contact the Data Protection Officer here.

We regularly audit security systems and protocols. We must point out that data transmissions via internet (e.g. e-mail communication) cannot be entirely secure and may have security vulnerabilities from unknown sources. A complete protection of personal details against unauthorized access by third parties is therefore not possible. However, you will be informed if there is any breach of security of non-encrypted data. This will be done in a timely manner (within 72 hours) of our becoming aware of this breach.

You acknowledge that our security cannot legally apply to any data which is requested through lawful interception.
